We believe language is a powerful tool for thinking, communicating and connecting with the world. The English Language Fiesta brings a joyful week-long celebration which engages students in meaningful, creative and immersive experiences with the English language.
Objectives of the Fiesta
To ignite a love for the English language through engaging, hands-on activities
To strengthen students’ confidence in speaking, writing and creative expression
To promote a vibrant reading culture across all levels
To encourage collaboration, critical thinking and communication through language-based experiences
Programme Highlights
School-Wide Opening Parade
The week begins with a Book Character Costume Parade, where students and teachers are dressed as their favourite literary characters. This fun-filled launch aims to spark excitement and set the tone for a week of literary adventures.

Lower Primary: Joyful Language Explorers
Interactive Storytelling: School leaders and guest readers bring stories to life, encouraging listening and imagination.
Acrostic Poetry: Students express themselves by creating simple poems using their names or themes from the stories.
Classroom Book Nooks: Reading corners are set up to promote daily reading time and book sharing among peers.
Middle Primary: Creative Communicators
Decorate-a-Door Challenge: Classes decorate their classroom doors with designs inspired by favourite book covers or authors.
Book-Themed Recess Activities: Fun stations with quizzes, puzzles and mini games are set up to reinforce language skills.
Peer Voting: Students vote for their favourite decorated door, promoting engagement and peer appreciation.
Upper Primary: Confident Young Voices
One-Minute Speech Challenge: Students prepare short speeches reflecting on the theme, honing their public speaking skills.
Book-to-Screen Reviews: Classes compare books and their movie adaptations, writing or presenting short reviews.
Literature Circles: Small group discussions around selected texts to develop comprehension and communication skills.
Closing Showcase
The week concludes with a showcase of student work—from poems and door displays to speech recordings and reflection journals. Selected classes may also perform short skits or book trailers for their peers.
