Applied Learning Programme (ALP)
Innovative Thinking Through Coding and Robotics

Objectives:
-
To develop students with essential 21st century competencies in critical, adaptive and inventive thinking as well as collaborative and communication skills.
-
To foster creativity and innovation through hands-on and inquiry-based learning experiences.
-
To promote the joy of learning by cultivating curiosity and intrinsic motivation.
-
To nurture an entrepreneurial mindset by encouraging initiative, problem-solving and real-world application.
School-wide Programmes
Since 2024, ALP is intentionally integrated into Mathematics curriculum to deepen conceptual understanding, develop critical and inventive thinking, and provide authentic contexts for applying mathematical knowledge through real-world problem-solving.
Students are progressively equipped with skills through structured learning programmes starting from Primary 3, while Primary 1 and 2 are introduced to basic coding concepts through simple game-based activities.

Talent Development
Students who demonstrate interest and aptitude in coding or robotics may join the Robotics CCA to further nurture their passion and skills. The school also provides opportunities for them to participate in both national and international competitions.

Robotics Club CCA
Robotics CCA nurtures problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork through hands-on coding and engineering challenges. It also supports talent development by identifying and stretching students’ potential in STEM through competitions, innovation projects, and advanced programming activities.
Showcasing Student Talents Through Competitions
The Robotics Club CCA participates in competitions, providing students with opportunities to showcase their STEM skills and creativity. These platforms foster development of confidence and nurture students' talents. The team's accomplishments reflect their hard work and dedication, demonstrating the impact of the CCA in cultivating STEM talent and pursuit of excellence.
